Chemaly goes GREEN
Have you noticed the fast-growing surplus of electronic waste around the globe? Whether it is caused by rapid technology change, low initial cost, planned obsolescence, or the three of them combined together, it is certain that humanity today has become directly exposed to the potential harm induced by the improper disposal of electronic waste. Source:www.ecycle-me.org Bouchons Roulants Did you know that by collecting and recycling plastic bottle caps you can not only help yourself and your environment, but also benefit from three more achievements as well? You can: 1 – Offer a disabled person a wheelchair 2 – Protect our environment 3 – Boost our economy You see? It's simple: Every gesture counts! We depend on your loyalty, solidarity and encouragement so that with your help, we can achieve our goal: 100 Chairs=100 smiles Wondering how? 1 ton of plastic bottle caps → 500 000 caps → 1 Wheelchair → 1 smile In order to offer 100 wheelchairs, we need to collect 50 000 000 plastic bottle caps. So, what type of bottle caps should we collect? 1. Caps on all food containers and drinking bottles (water, milk, soda, mayonnaise, ketchup...) 2. Lids found on everyday cartons (drinking yoghurt, mustard, powdered chocolate, spreads, coffee ...) 3. Caps found on household products with the exception of those on sprays that contain a metallic spring (dish soap, softener, bleach ...) 4. Caps found on hygiene products (toothpaste, shampoo, liquid soap, hairspray, deodorant, shaving foam, shower gel). What about drop-off? You may drop off your collected caps any time on Thursday and Friday at our arcenciel centers in Jisr el Basha.
